Welcome to the Western Wisconsin Recreational Soccer Program! 

Players born between 1/1/2006 and 12/31/2021 are eligible for the Spring 2025 season. Our Recreational Soccer Program meets once per week with a training activity targeted toward individual soccer skill development, followed by a game. The emphasis for our Rec program is having fun within a team environment, growing a love for the game, and an introduction to foundational soccer skills. We offer an inclusive opportunity for ALL children regardless of ability and/or prior experience to soccer, from U4 to U19.

Team formation is based on US Club Soccer’s age guidelines and divided by birth year. Each age group has an age-appropriate playing format (field size, goal size, number of players on each team) intended to maximize repetition, touches on the ball, and ultimately fun for each player!

Western Wisconsin Rec Soccer offers Spring, Summer, and Fall programming.  Please see the tabs below for 2025 dates.

ADDITIONAL REC INFORMATION:

Teams will be rostered for all ages levels up to U13+ and rely on parent volunteers to coach. For those of you on the fence, we will provide simple weekly coaching instructions from our Rec Soccer Directors.  We encourage you to think about the positive impact you can have on our Western Wisconsin Soccer youth.  All Head Coaches will receive a reimbursement of 50% of Rec as compensation for coaching (must coach 7 of the 8 sessions OR 3 of 4 summer sessions).

We offer soccer to ALL incomes and want to remind you that Western Wisconsin Soccer has an application for financial support that you can fill out online; we will ensure and respect your privacy. Please allow HSA two weeks to respond to the applications.  Please fill out the application PRIOR to registering.

REC FAQ'S

WHAT SHOULD MY PLAYER WEAR?

Participants will receive a jersey on the first day of Rec that should be worn every week along with shin guards, soccer socks, and cleats.

WHAT SHOULD THEY BRING TO EACH SESSION?

Soccer ball (U5-U6: size 3, U7-U12: size 4, U13+: size 5), water bottle, and weather appropriate apparel.

WHERE CAN WE PARK?

Parking is permitted anywhere INSIDE the Hudson Soccer Complex.  There is NO PARKING on surrounding streets around the Hudson Soccer Complex, those that park on streets will be ticketed and/or towed.

DOES MY PLAYER GET A TEAM/INDIVIDUAL PHOTOS?

All registered participants will receive an email each season regarding individual and team photos.  It is optional to purchase individual and team photos.   Please note, we do not do Team/Individual photos during Summer Rec.
